Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I work in a data centre so there is not always too much to do, however, when there is, it usually consists doing things such as walkaround plant checks, changing filters, pumps and electrical components.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy it a lot however there are dull days when there is not much work to do.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt skills such as wiring a plug and I have developed skills such as using tool kits.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

At times, we were not provided with certain aspects of the apprenticeship that we needed. However, overall the structure is well organised.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

My employer makes sure that I have something to aim for and helps me keep working towards my targets.

DCS apprentices have had 2 events solely for us but I have only been able to attend one.

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to CBRE Group?
Make sure to always be strong minded and it is your responsibility to make sure that you get the help you need. Employers can be busy and forgetful, so always make sure to put yourself and your needs first when it comes to making your experience as an apprentice not only better but more educational
