Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
As a project coordinator we have high levels of communication with people throughout the business, provide support to the project manager on things like actions, controlling finances, communications, and covering the project manager when they are away on holiday for example. You also get given the opportunity when ready to take on you own projects!! The growth opportunities are limited to your own ambitions.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I have thoroughly enjoyed my time so far at Computacenter. The people are nothing but supportive and helpful in terms of growth, getting you settled in, and managing you in the right way. I truly believe this is up there with the best companies to have an apprenticeship with.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
Numerous skills learnt. Not only have my communication skills accelerated extensively but also my digital skills. The range and diverse amount of people you get to work with allows to grow in how you conversate, and then within the job role the digital skills you have to learn and maintain can stay with you throughout your career. Whether it be workshops, day to day meetings, or 1-1s, you get the opportunity to develop the skills to help with your outside life also.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
The programme is very structured in a way that you get to progressively learn and get better day to day within the apprenticeship through multiple ways. We have a training provider, our own mentors, and meeting to discuss how we are getting along. We know what dates we have important events/deadlines which is so important also.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
Endless support is given. Through training providers, 1-1 catch ups and check ins, meetings/events put in with fellow apprentices to improve our network. So the support within Computacenter is at a very high level and I feel grateful I've always had somewhere/someone to go to for support in all aspects.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
Endless support is given. our training provided schedule regular catch ups, progress reviews, and how to effectively meet our deadlines given. As well as revision sessions towards the end of the apprenticeship which I have had recently.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
Due to our training provided scheduling regular catch ups, progress reviews, and how to effectively meet our deadlines given. As well as revision sessions towards the end of the apprenticeship which I have had recently I feel this allows me to grow and adapt by trying different things and presenting on aspects I need support with.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Yes many! our work sets up charity events, networking events at places like our London office to go for a meal or the pub after work. Football events, cricket events. This is one of the aspects I love most about computacenter.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Computacenter to a friend?
Yes
Why?
I have recommended Computacenter to all of my friends because it is very much people orientated. The friends you will make are life changing, and the support given will help grow your career from a young age. Your progression is limited to your own ambition at this company!.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Computacenter?
I would say definitely research the company, learn about Computacenter before you try and apply is number 1. I would also so develop great communication skills, you can of course learn this on the job but in the interview one of the main things they look for is how are you as a person, because as I said previously, this company is very much people orientated, and for the people!. Good luck.
