Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I have been recently promoted to electrical supervisor which involves a lot more responsibility than being a shopfloor electrical engineer, i oversee work which is being completed on a day to day basis and ensure business profits are being returned by recharging the trust. I maintain our Maximo system to ensure that jobs are being completed successfully and take charge of the electrical stock control.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy my time at Sodexo as i have managed to learn and progress my skills a lot since working here, it has helped me benefit in my own personal life with learning different skills.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt many things with my time at Sodexo like my new role i am currently undertaking and learning more about the financial and business side whilst also learning how to run a team of electricians successfully.

My program has ran successfully and it has helped me to achieve the goals i have hoped for since joining Sodexo.

I have received a lot of support from my management at Sodexo helping me to drive towards what i desired.

I have received a lot of help from my external training from Newcastle college who has helped me gain and understand valuable knowledgeable information to help my with my apprenticeship.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

This information provided to me by my external trainer was great as it has allowed me to understand ,y role and what is required to become successful.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

At Sodexo on our site we have the UHNM charity which have help numerous events in the past like football tournaments which i have participated in, Sodexo themselves host a annual golf trip as a partnership day with other companies they work closely with which i am hoping to participate in this year.
