Overall, how would you describe your experience at Forvis Mazars?
Forvis Mazars is a great firm to work for. All the staff are very welcoming and helpful in coaching and teaching. The culture in the office is fabulous everyone seems genuinely happy to be at work.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
My role at the moment includes a lot of fieldwork, i.e. picking and checking samples populating lead sheets or completing reviews of board minutes
To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?

I always feel I am helping the progress of the audit, and I always receive an explanation as to why I am doing the work if it my first time which allows me to see why it is required and what it does to help the wider audit.
How does your compensation package - including perks & benefits - fairly remunerate you for the work you do?

I earn enough to get by but often do overtime and feel undercompensated compared to most other graduate roles.
How well do you feel the role is preparing you for your future career?

Audit is a great platform to begin a career especially at a large firm, the connections and experience is invaluable

We get lots of formal training accompanied by teaching towards the professional qualifaction

How is the support you receive?

my line manager isn't the best but my buddy and wider team are great and everyone always has time to answer questions, even if they don't happen to be working on the same client as I am at the time.
How is your work-life balance?

It isn't the worst but I often do find myself working overtime

The office culture is a great working environment and the leadership does seem like quite a flat structure, The office is also very flexible when it comes to hybrid working and it is very much do what is best for you rather than what fits the status quo

I am on the CSR team and we make a considered effort every year to better the community around the office and help as many charities as we can.

Just be true to yourself, the Firm isn't particularly bothered about you starting with technical excellence more that you can be taught and are willing to try your best at things.
