It is incredibly organised. From start to finish. You are not thrown in the deep end. You have buddies to support you when you start the role, ex apprentices who are willing to help you. An amazing skills coach on the study side of things
How much support do you receive from your employer?

A lot of support around the business. You have your line manager, team leader and a buddy. 121 with line manger every month and someone from the early careers team
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

A lot of support. Free to message them whenever you need support, very patient with you if you do not understand something and offers a lot of resources to support you with your studies.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

My qualification through my training provider has been extremely beneficial in helping me perform my role effectively. The knowledge and skills I’ve gained have directly improved my understanding of tasks, processes, and problem-solving within my role. It has also boosted my confidence and making me feel well prepared and supported in my day to day responsibilities
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes, there are plenty of opportunities to get involved beyond day to day work. There are sports teams, social activities, volunteering events and networking opportunities that apprentices can participate in.

Why?
Yes, I would absolutely recommend my company. It’s an amazing place to work with an excellent culture and immense support at every level. Managers are approachable and always willing to guide and help you, while colleagues are friendly, supportive and collaborative. There are real opportunities for progression, and apprentices are actively encouraged to get involved in their roles and the wider company. Achievements are recognised, and there’s open access to senior leadership and mentorship which really helps you grow. The training and learning opportunities are structured, well organised, and highly supportive ensuring you can develop both professionally and personally. Overall, it’s a very positive, encouraging environment I’d rate it 10 out of 10!
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Computacenter?
My advice to anyone applying to this company would be to be yourself and stay authentic. It’s important to understand the company’s values and think about how your skills and mindset align with them. The company values driven, positive-minded individuals who work well in a team and have a growth mindset. If you show enthusiasm, a willingness to learn and a proactive attitude, you’ll fit in really well. The culture here is fantastic and being genuine while demonstrating your motivation and ability to collaborate will help you stand out.
