I find it very challenging, but in a good way as I'm always being stretched to learn more and improve myself.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
Developed new skills like : Data analysis, IT skills like using 10 different types of software, STEM skills as I became a STEM ambassador so I can show younger people what is it to have a job in a STEM based company or how to get into an apprenticeship.
Improved on my current skills : Accountability, leadership, communication, collaboration, determination/resilience

My training provider is Blackpool and Hythe college , but my degree is from Lancaster. They are alright, but as a student rep for my cohort I plan to make the support even better!

4/5
It helps me understand the theory behind all the tasks I do at work.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Yes so many! I am doing the APM challenge, I volunteer for STEM activities, I am part of the Hampshire social committee and part of the apprentice committee

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend BAE Systems to a friend?
Yes
Why?
The apprenticeship is well structured and there is many benefits like a free degree and a stable salary. Plus I'm getting a lot of valuable work experience that'll help me thrive in my career and I feel like BAE systems offers so many opportunities to improve yourself professionally and personally.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BAE Systems?
Make sure you have something that help you stand out , like past job experience or an EPQ or a hobby that you do. They care about the behaviour of a person the most as this is a challenging job to take on especially if you are straight out of college, so they want someone who won't give up and just continue to try their best. But they offer so much support if you are struggling and they won't give up on you easily if you have that hardworking attitude and determination to succeed.
