Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I am an apprentice in the transmissions repair and overhaul department of Leonardo Helicopters, Yeovil. On a typical day, I am working alongside skilled personnel, working on aircraft components and mechanical assemblies. I gain hands-on experience as well as technical knowledge.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I am really enjoying my apprentice with Leonardo. I enjoy the responsibilities I am given, as well as the help and guidance I get when I need it.

I have improved my existing technical and hands-on skilled, as when as gain many new skills through my apprenticeship.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

Overall, the structure of my apprenticeship has been clear, but sometimes organization has been lacking
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I usually receive support when requested. I have a review with my manager and assessor every 3 months.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Yeovil college provides my training towards my Btec level 3, support can be hard to get at times, as emails aren't always answered.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Some of the content I am taught has been useful in my job role, but much of it has no use to me in my role, and I will likely never use the knowledge.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There are many activities organized by the company, as well as by the Apprenticeship committee, who organize many charity events and social events.
