Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My role involves me being trained on different jobs such as bench fitting, pumps and vales and various other mechanically based jobs. Teaching me about engineering whilst also practically preparing me for the jobs I'll do on site.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

For people such as myself whom already has an engineering background it's a little off putting as prior skills aren't often put into recognition in the workshop. However for the theory side of the apprenticeship my previous work has been noticed. Other than this I enjoy everything about the apprenticeship and believe it is very beneficial for me.

Yes! My skills have been developed greatly and I have a better understanding of things. I've also learnt so much too!

If whenever I need help or support without fail it's always there.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

My employer takes everything into consideration and has been extremely generous in supporting me through difficult situations. I've managed to get back on track with the help of Sellafield.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

There are networking events and often trips and plenty of social activities/talks.

Why?
Because they are a supportive well structured company. Once here you have a job for life and a good one too. Work is interesting and I've already learnt so much.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Sellafield Ltd?
To be confident in yourself. If your know tour abilities and what your capable of doing don't hold back in telling Sellafield. Everyone is so lovely here you're made to feel completely comfortable so never stress in an interview.
