Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
I work in the Valuations team of CBRE, which involves valuing properties for clients such as banks. I often have the opportunity to go out to site on inspections. My day to day role involves collecting comparable evidence for report writing, as well as assisting the report writing.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I am really enjoying my time at CBRE. The job itself and my role is nothing like anything I have previously done so I find it sometimes challenging but also very rewarding with what I learn. As well as this my colleagues and the environment I work has been very welcoming.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I have learnt IT skills such as Excel along with how to use certain software used in Valuations. As well as this I have developed my communication skills by phoning external agents regarding property lettings.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
I feel the apprenticeship is very structured and I have a good idea of where my apprenticeship will take me such as moving throughout the different teams in the office.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
I have found CBRE to have provided me with lots of support so far in my first few months. Throughout the company there is a vast network of other Graduates and apprentices all at different stages willing to help and give guidance. As well as this, the team who head the Apprentice and graduates are always willing to help and make time for people.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
The University have so far been very responsive and helpful with any queries or issues I have had regarding my University work.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
I feel getting a mix of both the practical and theory sides, and then combining the two together is a great advantage. What I have learnt at work for example, can be applied to my university course, and what I have learnt in my University modules can be applied to my work.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
I have had access to office social events and professional networking events during my time at CBRE. These have both been organised by either CBRE or an external company and have been great opportunities to network with other people in CBRE, as well as other graduates and apprentices from other real estate firms.
