Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
I work within a forecast modelling so we run models on to try and predict how the economy will react under various different scenarios. This role involves coding within python and SQL and also knowing how to use excel functions, so that we can do various data analytics to help us keep the models as accurate as possible.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I enjoy the apprenticeship programme very much, even though its challenging at times. The lessons that introduce us to new skills within data analytics and science are well thought out and informative. The support given for when you do go through the challenging times is very helpful and support you until you get back on track.
It is a programme that i do not regret taking and i would recommend taking it over university.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have learnt alot of new skills since i started. I came out of college knowing the basics of coding but thats really it, i didnt know anything realting to my job. I now know how to code complex systems and learnt how to approach tasks from multiple persepctives. While also learning practical skills, i have also learnt soft skills like learning how to present infront of different audiences.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
My programme is very well organised from a company perspective but also from the university perspective. The 2 sides are well communicated with each other and they pass any relevant information to you as quick as possible. The staff from both sides are very supportive and help you figure out the answer you need.
The structure of the programme is nice where you have term like normal university and then have breaks inbetween each terms so it isnt overwhelming with constant work.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I have recieved help from my employer from having queries about the apprenticeship programme and how to enrol from the level 4 to level 6. Ive also had support from a number of colleagues in different teams who helped me work on projects so i can meet apprenticeship requirements that i couldnt do within my team.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
Even though i didnt reach out for support alot, during the times i did. They were very helpful where they followed it from their side and set up meetings with me to explain things in detail. By them doing this it was very helpful and gave me the answers that i needed.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
I think by working towards my qualification, it has made me develop alot of skills that i can use within my current job and any future jobs that i will have. I can confidently say that i am in a better possition now to where i would be if i didnt take the qualifciation
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
I am a part of various networking events to do with apprenticeships. Where i meet other apprentices who are within the company in person and we get to know each other. There are meetings where senior leaders tell us a bit about what they do and we can ask questions.
