Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Attend/hold various different meetings regarding updates on the project. Send/receive emails. I also attend university once a week as I am completing a degree in project management - so some days I might do some uni work.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

So far I have thoroughly enjoyed my apprenticeship as I have been able to gain experience, earn whilst I learn, meet new people and gain more knowledge.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Been able to develop skills such as communication due to the number of new people I have met and interacted with professionally. A new skill I have learnt is adaptability as in projects things can change so quickly therefore it’s important to be able to adapt to deliver the job to the best of your ability.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

The first 4 weeks we had an onboarding process where we attend any necessary training, built relationship with cohort, attend university and completed our first module and get prepared to move into our first placement. I attend university once a week and the rest of the week I’m in my placement in the office where I am able to gain experience of what project management is like. Throughout my apprenticeship I will have 6 different placements across the business to help me gain experience and knowledge.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

Support network is great. Our apprentice leads always remind us that they are if we need them. Placement mangers are also great support.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Learning is a mix of online teaching and in person teaching. We are able to speak to the module leads/lecturers if we need any support content or assignment wise. Also have meetings every 12 weeks which review our progress.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Through university we have been able to gain knowledge about different aspects of project management and learn key terminology which I have then been able to apply in my work setting which has developed my understanding.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There are many different STEM events to get involved in which includes things like careers fairs. There is a degree apprentice council that you can become involved in also.
