Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Initial training comprised of internal sessions learning about audit as well as an external fundamentals course. Audit clients give a wide range of experience from planning sections and gaining an understanding of client's business, processes and controls. Then testing these and financial statement balances. Also often in college to learn materials for exams.

Learnt so much about audit and improved digital skills and professional skills (communication etc.)

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

Very structured first 12 weeks to ensure basic knowledge of processes and tools, then slow introduction to client work
How much support do you receive from your employer?

Regular check ins with people manager and support provided where needed in between. Job managers are aware of new to role status and are supportive and patient.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

All course materials provided, with a mix of in person and remote learning. Separate check ins with skills coach ensure on track and provide additional support
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Learning concepts in college then being able to see them in practice in clients' systems and develop understanding at theoretical and practical levels
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Sports and social committee arrange a wide range of activities, about two a month. They ensure there's something everyone will like, with lunchtime socials including an in office activity and a food van fully paid for, then some evening activities such as watching the darts and watching horse racing
