Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
I provide frontline digital support to colleagues across the department. Day-to-day, I help resolve technical issues, offer guidance on DWP systems and devices, and ensure users can work effectively with the technology available to them. This involves diagnosing problems, escalating more complex issues when necessary, and delivering clear, practical advice to improve the user experience.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I enjoyed my ICT Level 3 apprenticeship as it helped me build practical technical skills and apply them directly in my role. The mix of learning and hands‑on experience made the programme engaging and valuable for my development

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
Yes - through the apprenticeship I learned new technical skills and strengthened my existing knowledge. I developed more confidence in troubleshooting, improved my understanding of digital tools and systems, and enhanced my problem‑solving and customer‑support skills.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
My programme was well organised and structured, with a clear plan of learning, regular support, and assessments that aligned well with the practical work I was doing. The structure helped me stay on track and build my skills steadily throughout the apprenticeship.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I received strong support throughout the programme, especially from my manager, who consistently provided guidance, encouragement, and opportunities to develop my skills. Their support, along with that of my colleagues, made a significant difference to my progress and confidence during the apprenticeship.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
I received excellent support from my training provider, particularly from my work coach, who was consistently helpful, responsive, and encouraging. Their guidance made it much easier to stay on track and feel confident while working towards my qualifications.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
My qualification has helped me perform better in my role by strengthening my technical knowledge and giving me more confidence when supporting colleagues. The learning from my training provider linked well with the practical work I do each day, which made it easier to apply new skills directly in my department's TechBar environment.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Yes, there are several extra‑curricular activities available at work, including social events, professional networking opportunities, and wider DWP initiatives that staff can get involved in. These activities help build connections across teams and offer a nice balance alongside day‑to‑day work.
