Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Department for Work and Pensions to a friend?
Yes
Why?
They are a truly disability confident employer and they take this aspect very seriously and a great deal of work place adjustments available. The role is hybrid working, 2 days working from home and 3 in the office. The apprenticeship is a day release 1 day a month either via teams or face to face. You are also encouraged to do 1 day a week on "off the job" working to allow you to research and work on your assignments. It is frowned upon to do this work in your own time or at weekends to maintain a good work life balance. All the staff i have met are helpful, caring and professional people. But the big thing is the overall time and money invested in people and their training to achieve a work force that is fit for purpose, know what they are doing and act in a professional caring way. I could not recommend them highly enough.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Department for Work and Pensions?
Be honest, open, eager and plan interview responses based on evidential capability e.g. I did ...... because of......, this is how I did it, and this is how I measured the success or failure. This is what I changed for next time. and not simply I think i would do this......
