Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
Completion of Right of Access requests for the department. Completing Proceeds of Crime Act court orders and National Disclosure Unit requests for complex information, both for the police in aiding conviction of serious crime. Completing court order requests for information relating to missing people.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
3/5
I find it challenging to balance the demands of work and the demands of the program in relation to finding time to complete tasks that cant be claimed as of the job hours or alternatively that I can find time to complete due to workloads in my job.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I am learning to make the most out of the features available in MS Excel.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
It is well structured using Edukate system. I do not like the group activities in the live workshops as I find the other learners on the course are all fighting for who is the best and often try to show off their skills leaving learners who do not have abilities on their level behind due to the pace they work at to try and impress others.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
My manager is great and will give me time if I ask for it, but I find it hard to ask when we have the workloads that we do. If I take too much time, I feel that I am burdening my colleagues.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
We get good level of support when following the program schedule. Outside of the program it is impossible to get support when you need it due to long reply times to emails and no other direct way to contact support.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
It will help me to make more of the statistics we hold on our team but politics in the department wont allow me to access other statistics held on other teams or the central RAR team.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
I am a member of HASSRA so I am able to join their events. There are no other sport or social events available by DWP apart from those run by HASSRA.
