Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I handle Performance MI data for my district. The Apprenticeship I am on is a Level 3 Data Citizen - and covers aspects of Excel, AI and data manipulation and presentation which I use throughout ny day to day role. The apprenticeship is highly relevant to my role.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I find the Apprenticeship to be a real bonus to my work. It ahs given me a renewed purpose, I am learning so much more than I thought I would and makes me feel valued by the department - even after 30 years of service the department still invests in my development.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Continually leaning new skills with regards to Excel and understanding data while consolidating existing knowledge.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

Very well structured - broken down into monthly modules and workshops that both help with learning and consolidate through skills practice. The programme feels logical in it progression.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I am given the time and support throughout the apprenticeship at all levels of DWP.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
I receive excellent support through a Learning Coach who keeps me on track with my hours, goals and learning outcomes. I also have a Data Mentor who guides me through the practical aspects of the course and helps me plan my assignments and prepares me for my End Point assessment.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I am already embedding the knowledge learned within my day to day activities, It is also giving me increased confidence in developing my role and also given me a renewed enthusiasm for my work.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

We communicate regularly within our learning cohort and there are plenty of existing social opportunities, clubs etc within DWP, alongside having a strong bond within my team.
