learning on the job is great, but the apprenticeship is almost entirely self-led learning.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

Very hands-on support from employer, plenty of support from colleagues and mentors.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Not much interaction with training provider, tasks are set monthly but other than that, involvement is very minimal. That said, I enjoy self led learning.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

completing the monthly tasks requires one to actively learn about legislation and policy which really helps understand my role.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes
Why?
Excellent work-life balance, high level of support as a new starter, good comradery in office, pay is great, pension is amazing.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Department for Work and Pensions?
apply for as many roles as possible even if they don't sound completely relevant to current experience. Support for new starters is great and it's very possible to move around within the organisation once you've trained up.
