Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My job roll was to maintain a good working ethic whilst learning carpentry skills how to become a carpenter my roll was to construct the overall appearance of a space like building walls fitting and building stairs my roll was to also maintain a safe working environment in my roll I had to carry out tasks such as preparing materials and loading out plots ready for construction like doors architrave and skirting

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

When I first joined the LJ constructions team i was amazed and so was my family about how well prepared organised and professional the program of my apprenticeship was LJ constructions provided me with a great understanding of my apprenticeship program and take very much care in all of there employees

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Ever since day one I have learnt many new skills for life even little things like changing a blade in my saw along the way of my apprenticeship I have learnt many things and how to carry out a task professional Ly I’ve also learnt how to maintain and keep a very good work ethic I’ve also learnt that going wrong is a great way to learn too.

My program and training has been extremely organised. I’ve also enjoyed the overall amazing experience throughout such a well prepared and organised experience

I receive much support from my training provider, which also involves private 1 to 1 training

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

My training provider carried out a zoom call every fortnight teaching me safety in construction and what to be aware of in hazardous situations my training provider also helped me in my role by carrying out one-to-one training which made me have a good understanding of tasks

Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Every year Ljc constructions provides a private event for everybody to come to for example horse racing

I would definitely recommend Ljc constructions to anybody who is looking for an amazing apprenticeship provider or carpentry work in general. I feel like throughout my experience with LJC I could definitely recommend this company to anybody because they are very supportive and will help you achieve your goals and learn carpentry

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to LJ Construction Carpentry Contractors Limited?

My advice would be to make sure you’re dedicated and have a good work ethic. I would also advise making sure that you have a good stable. Way of transport every day to get to work.
