My role as the apprentice is to do my key skills to gain experience. Also look after the children and give them fun activities to do and be engaged with them.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really love it. I enjoy being with the children everyday and having such a great team of staff to work with.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt a lot about working with SEN children and what support they need on a daily basis.
Its been really interesting to learn about all the different ways we can support them.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

I believe it is very well structured. I feel I always have support if I need it or to ask questions if I am not sure about certain things. Everyone supports each other and it is always a friendly environment.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I would say a lot. When i struggled with some of my work I was given a massive amount of support to help me and explain it so I wasn't so overwhelmed.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I do, they give me a lot of confidence and are always praising my work.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

We have a retreat which all staff go on, I havent been on one yet but I am looking forward to it.
