Overall, how would you describe your experience at National Energy System Operator?
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
What I did: Supported the planning cadence for a busy programme, contributed to content and logistics for internal and external events, and helped coordinate materials so teams had clarity on priorities. I also organised an internal knowledge‑share session to spread learning across colleagues.
What I learned: How to build confidence in stakeholder conversations, prepare thoroughly for events, and communicate clearly under time pressure. It strengthened my organisation, communication, and relationship‑building skills.
Rotation 2 — People analytics (current role)
What I do now: Improve the accuracy of organisational data, establish straightforward quality measures, and deliver regular reporting alongside ad‑hoc analysis. I also look for opportunities to streamline processes and share approaches that others can reuse.
What I’m developing: Deeper analytical skills, better data storytelling, and a practical understanding of how people data supports planning and decision‑making across the organisation.
