I was very impressed and very thankful for the very smooth onboarding process and the level of training we were provided. There is training for everything you might ever need to know, and anything you might be interested in. Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
I have been very impressed with the atmosphere at BI, everyone is so nice and genuinely wants to get to know us, help us and involve us in everything. | have never felt that as interns we were 'lesser' than other employees and there I have never been made to feel that my questions were silly. I also get the impression that BI has a very different company culture than other pharmaceutical companies, which is why so many people here for a long time.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
I also wanted to mention that in this role (partially because of the company culture) there is huge scope to get involved with other departments/ other teams, we are encouraged to meet as many people as possible and learn whatever we are most interested in. I have been able to shape this placement to my interests and skills so that it best supports my development.
Overall, I have had such a good time at BI and I would absolutely recommend other students to apply for placements here.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Boehringer Ingelheim to a friend?
Yes
What advice would you give to others applying to Boehringer Ingelheim
Consider as many roles as possible, some of the 'supporting function' roles actually sit within medicine and are quite medical. So bioscience students shouldn't feel limited. Also, look up the therapy areas on both the UK and global websites to understand what products/ therapy areas we have. And pay attention to the company culture/ behaviors information as you will feel this day to day.
