Overall, how would you describe your experience at Oasis Community Learning?
It's a great place to work. There is lots of opportunity to grow, try new things and collaborate with different teams.
Oasis also has an incredible vision for inclusion and community transformation that inspires all my work and makes me feel like I'm making a difference.

What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
The main responsibilities of my role included website maintainenance, social media management, magazine writing, fundraising communications, press support, newsletter creation and story gathering.
The elements of my role that I enjoy most are writing, content creation and storygathering. I love trying to communicate ideas into accessible and emotive forms of content.

To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?

I don't really have a team so in that sense I don't 'contribute' to others within a specific group. However, my role is wide-reaching and our organisational vision is deeply meaningful which helps me to make a difference.
How does your compensation package - including perks & benefits - fairly remunerate you for the work you do?

I'm not really aware of any compensation packages. I know about employer pension contributions and apprenticeship opportunities which are excellent.
How well do you feel the role is preparing you for your future career?

I feel that my role is really helping to prepare me for a future career because it's giving me lots of different opportunities and experiences within the world of communcations. It's broad and wide-ranging rather than narrow and siloed.
How would you rate the extent to which you were developing new or existing skills through formal training and your day-to-day role?

Thanks to the apprenticeship I'm doing alongside work I'm developing a lot of new skills thanks to the range of different modules I'm taking and the assessments within those modules.

Why?
Oasis has an excellent culture of inclusion, warmth and openness. It treats staff with kindness and respect.
There is lots of work to do but the enviornment is safe, not hostile. I really appreciate that.
