Overall, how would you describe your experience at BAE Systems?
Job role is not well defined and can massively vary from suitable to totally unsuitable based on luck of the draw. No well-defined job role specific selection process, only selection of 'general suitability'. Other than that, the company treats you well with good work/life balance and decent benefits, great play. Graduate community is on the social decline and is in need of rejuvenation.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
I do a variety of roles including IT support, SAP auditing, and cybersecurity incident management
To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?

I feel comfortable making decisions and providing both ideas, analysis, and constructive criticism that all provides impact.
How does your compensation package - including perks & benefits - fairly remunerate you for the work you do?

Pay is good, benefits are okay, but most rely on additional financial input. Relocation package is strong, as are both sign-ons and bonuses.
How well do you feel the role is preparing you for your future career?

The graduate interactions are entirely on your own initiative and so networking is self-propelled. The development process is the same as the rest of the company just emphasised slightly more. No need to be a graduate here.
How would you rate the extent to which you were developing new or existing skills through formal training and your day-to-day role?

37 hours flexi time is outstanding. toil and overtime available too
What is the organisational culture, values and general atmosphere like?

They claim to be innovative, but there is a strong resistance to change embedded in the culture here. This is a challenge but one graduates should be willing to tackle in the sake of progress and development.

Great support groups for a variety of diverse attributes, lots of events too.
How would you rate BAE Systems CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) initiatives?

There is a lot in education, but it is all job pipelines. Little to no environmental concerns that are actualised into real change.

Pays good, bonuses good, jobs varied in quality, some have great positions, others get not so good ones, luck of the draw here.

the job advert is generic and covers large groups of different roles so this can and does lead to disappointment with little opportunity to move.
