Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

My role involved capturing and editing content for the use of future promotion of the internships and frontrunner schemes De Montfort University have to offer to its students

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

Yes! It was my responsibility to capture content, do all the planning for the videos getting recorded and getting and taking care of the right equipment and people used for the videos.

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?

I learned how to work under pressure and developed further in my leadership skills, working alongside another intern who wasn’t as experienced as me in the field we were both in. I got to teach him a few things to help better his skills!

Definitely received a lot of support from my manager. He really believed in me and showed that to me every day I was in the office.

It was great! Everyone really spoke to each other and welcomed each other in even when new to the place.

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

I really enjoyed my internship! It’s something I always talk about. I really valued my time here as I learned a lot and was able to get something new on my portfolio
