Overview of the Role
Overall, how would you describe your experience at Mace?
My time at Mace has been positive and valuable. I have found that they are good company to work for with supporting staff & culture. Whilst he company is still young with immature processes and the graduate scheme itself requires development the organisation has lost of potential and exciting opportunities to get involved with.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
My role has varied a lot during my time but I have assisted in report writing, security needs assessments, event organising/ running, admin tasks, graphic design work and more.
To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?

My team has always been very support and made me feel valued. The amount of meaningful work I have been able to contribute varied through the scheme as sometimes tasks were very admin focused and I was under utilised but other times I was assigned tasks which were meaningful.
How does your compensation package - including perks & benefits - fairly remunerate you for the work you do?

The pay at the start was not very good for London however the pay does increase reasonably throughout the scheme.
How well do you feel the role is preparing you for your future career?

My role has developed m professional and soft skills well and has given me a much greater insight into my strengths and where I would like to take my career. However, in terms of technical skills it could be better and I have not had the opportunities that I would have liked to access formal training.
How would you rate the extent to which you were developing new or existing skills through formal training and your day-to-day role?

The support systems at my company are very good. I have multiple avenues that I can and feel comfortable in getting in contact with if required.
How is your work-life balance?

As my role is project based it varies through out the year but roughly evens out to be a good balance.
What is the organisational culture, values and general atmosphere like?

My company has a excellent culture which is why I am keen to stay longer term
How would you rate Mace initiatives when it comes to equality, diversity, inclusion and accessibility?

The company is defiantly getting better and clearly priorities this from the top down. As it sits in construction & defence these are sectors that are quiet "behind" so there is a fair bit of catch up and there are still areas for improvement.
How would you rate Mace CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) initiatives?

We are encouraged to take volunteering days as well as promote activities on our projects that bring social value to local communities
