Overview of the Role

Overall, how would you describe your experience at Cisco?
I love working at Cisco. They keep up with work/personal life balance, making sure that we are all supported.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
Network engineering is about dealing with customers networks and making sure the issues they are having are fixed. I enjoy being able to help lots of people's business who have had problems, and then when it is fixed, seeing the office then go back to normal and the customer being happy once again
To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?

Working with cases that other colleagues may have similar cases too, and then being able to collaborate together to fix both cases at once
How does your compensation package - including perks & benefits - fairly remunerate you for the work you do?

I believe the pay, with the stocks as well are quite valuable. Along with this the discounts we get from Cisco with regards to giftcards and other percentages off
How well do you feel the role is preparing you for your future career?

I believe with all this knowledge I have learnt from this job, I am started to become a well seasoned Network engineer
How would you rate the extent to which you were developing new or existing skills through formal training and your day-to-day role?

I am developing every day with different calls and cases from customers with new or existing problems

When I first started, the mentors were great and really helped me start to improve in my role. This includes my manager and team leaders, who would constantly message me to ask if I was okay, and if I needed any help
How is your work-life balance?

Cisco try's to balance both, as they give you some free days off every quarter to help

Both hybrid and remote working policies are in place, as well as great culture values

Cisco holds events depending on the month, but will express how it values different diversities in the workplace
