Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
My Role as a Client Executive is involved within the broking process in Insurance. I speak to Clients and Brokers to arrange terms to form a policy for large American Energy Businesses. On a day-to-day basis, I correspond over emails to Retail brokers in America/Canada as well as the London Brokers. I analyse slips to identify a product which best suits our clients needs whilst organising how the risk of a client will be spread throughout underwriters.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I have thouroughly enjoyed my programme as I felt it fit hand in hand with my progress within my job role aswell as my progress within my study and apprenticeship work. I felt as though my programme has assisted me in continuous growth and support to build my knowledge skills and behaviours within my role and the industry I work in.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have learnt many new skills within my time during the programme such as building my digital skills within systems and processes used in my role. I have also developed skills such as public speaking which has also enhanced my confidence and networking skills.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
I feel as though my programme was very structured due to there being a set plan month by month off certain targets and deadlines for learning, study and exams. This meant that I developed my time mangement skills as I was able to plan out each month ahead of time to ensure that I didn't miss any deadlines or targets.
I also had progress reviews which were a stuctured meeting with my manager and tutor to discuss my progression within the programme.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
I received alot of support from my employer as they were able to block out times in my calendar to ensure that I had enough time to work on my apprenticeship and meant that I stayed on track with exams.
However, they offered as much support as they could, due to them being unaware of the programme and it's requirements, I didn't feel like I was able to ask questions from within the learning plan or topics I was learning about.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
My training provider offered a large amount of support by providing step by step guides aswell as monthly 1 to 1's to ensure that I stayed on track. Furthermore, within my learning components, my training provider delivered feedback to ensure that I was maintaining development. My training provider was very responsive to any questions which I asked even outside of our 1 to 1's and progress reviews.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
I feel like a more valued team member, improving my confidence as I feel like I can offer knowledge and advice to others.
I also feel as though I have a much better understanding and knowledge of the industry and markets as a whole as well as roles within the functions that are carried out such as insurance broking.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
In my work there are many monthly networking and social events to promote team building and networking. Furthermore, I have also had the chance to volunteer to speak amongst secondary schools to promote apprenticeships.
