Overall, how would you describe your experience at Cisco?
My experience at Cisco has been great. As an early-in-career engineer, I’ve had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of technologies, which has allowed me to broaden my technical skill set and learn from experts across different domains. I appreciate that Cisco encourages employees to shape their own career paths—I’ve been able to express my interests and take on projects that align with my goals.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
One of the responsibilities of my role is troubleshooting incidents, which I particularly enjoy. I find it rewarding to take a methodical approach to investigating, identifying, and rectifying issues that arise within technical systems.

When considering the recruitment & onboarding process, have you any specific tips or advice you would give to others applying to Cisco?
I highly recommend spending time in the office, especially when you first start your role. While it’s not necessary to be there every day, being present in person allows you to build meaningful relationships with your colleagues and become part of the team more quickly.
