Overall, how would you describe your experience at CBRE Group?
My experience has been very good, everyone is very friendly and happy to help. The work being done is super exciting and engaging, and because of this I am learning quickly.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
The main responsibilities lies under the title of 'assistant planner', whereby I assist my colleagues on current projects they are working on. I enjoy this as I feel my work is really valued, and it's great to be a part of multiple different projects. I also keep the planning team updated on planning updates, and help with research, which is important in helping me to deepen my understanding on the UK planning system.

My line manager and buddy are both extremely helpful, and I have weekly catch ups with my line manager, and often daily catch ups with my buddy, and they are always available to offer me help or give me advice, as well as the rest of my team.

I would recommend CBRE to a friend for multiple reasons, from the types of projects you have the chance to work on, and how involved you are in these from the very start of your role, to the culture and people that you work with - not only is everyone friendly and keen to help new starters, but you have such easy access to top experts in the field.
How well did the role match your expectations based on the recruitment process?

When considering the recruitment & onboarding process, have you any specific tips or advice you would give to others applying to CBRE Group?
I would recommend spending a while learning about CBRE and their values, and working to make sure you align with these. I would also recommend being confident and friendly in the interviews, and especially in the group assessments, to listen to and consider what other people have to say.
