Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

I was on business insights and reporting for the North team, this meant I completed weekly sell out reports for 16 accounts. Then, i would focus on the 5 fashion accounts, diving deeper into their sell out reports and reporting back actionable insights in weekly trade meetings (internal and external). I also completed ad hoc requests throughout the week, and aided in providing insights for relevant projects that week.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

Yes, it was well laid out. I started shadowing everything my buddy did, slowly learning what i needed to do. I then started to aid in presenting and collecting insights, until i was fully trusted to send out reports, insights, answer queries, and present to external partners solo.

ALOT, everyone there was very eager to help me make the most out of my internship and get the most experiences i could. I felt very supported and felt i could always ask for help if i needed and it would be there.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

amazing, adidas company culture is like none ive ever experienced before. The office was such a nice environment to walk in to, everyone was always so happy, flexible, and chatty.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

10/10. I got to do things i never thought i would get the chance to do including playing on pitch at st james park, going to Nuremburg. I met amazing people alogn the way and learnt valuable skills I will carry with me.

What advice would you give to others applying to Adidas

Cater your CV to the colours/ lettering of the brand. It helps to enjoy sport - with it being a sportswear brand, but its not essential. At the end of the day be yourself, they want to hire someone they think theyll get along with and will compliment the wider team.
