Overview of the Role

Overall, how would you describe your experience at Cisco?
My experience at Cisco has been highly positive across all aspects. The work-life balance is excellent, and the compensation and benefits are competitive. I have found my colleagues to be friendly and approachable in most situations, and cross-team collaboration is both encouraged and effective. Additionally, there are numerous extracurricular opportunities available, such as volunteering with charitable organizations, which further enrich the work environment.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
As a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), my primary responsibilities include upgrading, maintaining, and decommissioning the network infrastructure for which my team is accountable. I perform these duties with a strong emphasis on automation, utilizing code to enhance efficiency and leverage my network engineering expertise. The aspects of the role I enjoy most are the opportunities to automate complex processes and continuously improve the reliability and performance of our systems.
