My experience at CBRE Group has been highly positive and enriching. As a Graduate Assistant Building Surveyor, I’ve had the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals on a diverse range of projects, which has significantly accelerated my learning and development. The supportive environment, structured training, and exposure to real-world challenges have helped me build both technical skills and professional confidence. I’ve particularly appreciated the collaborative culture and the emphasis on continuous improvement, which have made CBRE a great place to begin my career in building surveying.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
As a Graduate Assistant Building Surveyor, my main responsibilities include assisting with building inspections, preparing reports and schedules of condition, supporting project management tasks, and contributing to maintenance and refurbishment schemes. I also help with contract administration, liaise with clients and contractors, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
What I enjoy most about the role is the variety of work and the opportunity to learn from experienced colleagues across different disciplines. I particularly appreciate being involved in site visits and inspections, where I can apply technical knowledge in real-world scenarios.
