Overall, how would you describe your experience at CBRE Group?
I’ve gained valuable experience as a Graduate Surveyor, working across a range of property sectors and supporting senior colleagues on client-facing projects on TDD and dilapidation projects.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
TDD - assisting chartered surveyors on vendor and acquisition surveys, completing reports and desktop reviews.
Dilapidation's - completing dilapidation assessments for landlords and tenants, conducting negotiations with opposing surveyors.
I enjoyed the travel with TDD and generally getting to see different buildings and areas of the country.

The compensation package is good eg. paid well as a graduate, opportunity for bonuses and private health care. However, travel into the office is expensive on graduate pay!

CBRE is great at supporting graduates through the process of APC.
How well did the role match your expectations based on the recruitment process?
3/5
There was a couple of points that it was advertised as a mixed remote and in office role - but when I started I needed to be in the office 5 days a week. Also the Building Surveying team is split between TDD and Dilapidation's.
When considering the recruitment & onboarding process, have you any specific tips or advice you would give to others applying to CBRE Group?
Be yourself! And show what you can contribute to CBRE workplace and culture.
