Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Doing research on behalf of colleagues in bank supervision. Use of Excel and PowerPoint to undertake research, data analysis and present findings.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes, I was able to attend meetings with senior stakeholders from some of the UK's largest financial firms, and provide my own input. My primary research project clearly had a longer-term purpose and was used by my team as a basis for further projects.

I learnt a combination of soft skills like networking and presenting, as well as harder skills like Excel. I also gained a much greater understanding of the banking industry in particular.
