Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
Day to day role I really enjoy doing. I like my roster and work shift patterns. The only thing stopping the role being 5 stars is issues with other entities that have an impact on the day to day running of the depot.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
Learning was intense at the beginning, however the apprenticeship for me was good, and my learning coach made things less stressful for me.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
This job has taught me a whole range of new skill I didn't have just over two years ago. I am now confident in driving trains around the depot by my self, planning, and liaising with necessary contact to ensure the smooth running. Working here alone has forced me to think on my feet and come up with solutions to problems.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
No issues with the structure of the programme. Could have done with more time spent on traction when in the school but the rest has been fine. No issues with the organisation of the programme.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
Constant check ins from both my employer and my apprentice coach.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
Apprentice coach was always checking in ensuring i was happy and listening to any concerns or issues I had. My coach was exceptionally helpful and we would talk regularly.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
2/5
I would like there to be some sort of motorcycling activities that Southeastern would get involved in. I would jump at any opportunities to ride on track for the company and I know there would be others willing too also. However I am aware that there are plenty of other sport to get involved with.
