Thorough yet dynamic teaching styles from various coaches, and great support network that helps me do my job as best as I can.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

4/5
First job on the railway so learned much information about train operation and procedures. Developed existing customer service and dynamic risk assessment skills I gained from healthcare and security jobs before.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

4/5
Ample time for completion of portfolio and many different ways to complete the relevant tasks! Variety of approaches encouraged for evidence.

How much support do you receive from your employer?

5/5
All my coaches and managers praise my learning and efforts to constantly better myself in my role. They definitely help you recognise your strengths, as well as development opportunities and areas of improvement, with constructive feedback no matter what.

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

5/5
Answered above.

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

4/5
It sediments the original rules and helps me to remember there are various ways to achieve the same positive outcome. Knowing contingencies makes me more efficient and helpful.

Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

4/5
Yes, there is much community spirit and chance to bond with new colleagues that way. I haven't explored those options yet eg social club but I'm glad it's there.
