Overview of the Role

Overall, how would you describe your experience at Frazer-Nash Consultancy?
I have enjoyed my time at Frazer-Nash so far. The people are great, I am exposed to great opportunities, and I am interested in the work I am doing.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
I am currently doing a mixture of project work, internal ventures, and bidding. I love the variety of my work. I attend client meetings and take minutes, and have begun to build both internal and external relationships with people from all positions in the business.
To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?
4/5
I am only 6 weeks into my position. However, I do feel that my Group leaders prioritise my career goals and interests in the work I get assigned, which naturally makes it feel meaningful. I definitely feel valued by my team, and there is a real sense of inclusion and support within it.
How does your compensation package - including perks & benefits - fairly remunerate you for the work you do?
5/5
For a graduate, I would say the compensation package is good. We get a decent salary and there is a bonus scheme. We have a pay rise each 6 months of the graduate programme too which is motivating. The additional perks of private healthcare, pension contributions, and various other schemes are good.
How well do you feel the role is preparing you for your future career?
5/5
FNC are amazing at giving graduates responsibility from day one. I have already learnt really valuable skills and my industry knowledge is miles from where it was 6 weeks ago. I get to speak with clients, attend lots of training & workshops, and I have regular catch-ups with my manager to ensure I am on-track and developing each week.
How would you rate the extent to which you were developing new or existing skills through formal training and your day-to-day role?
4/5
So far, I have attended some formal training sessions which have been great. FNC are good at getting the graduates together for workshops and it seems very organised. The reason I gave a 4 is that some of it is online training, which I personally struggle to engage with and stay focused in (I prefer in-person work) But that is inevitable and they are still beneficial.

Experience & Company Culture

How is the support you receive?
5/5
My manager is great and I feel like I can voice my thoughts/ideas/concerns without judgement. When I started at FNC, I was allocated a buddy in my office (from my team) as well. We have weekly meetings which are really useful. I also have a 'technical sounding board' in my team who is someone more senior than myself that I can reach out to for any technical advice.
How is your work-life balance?
5/5
There is a flexible working policy which means we can work from the office or at home. We are also able to fit our own commitments around work due to some flexibility in the working hours we do.
What is the organisational culture, values and general atmosphere like?
5/5
I go in to the office almost every day, and I have benefitted from speaking to lots of new people I wouldn't have otherwise met. Everyone I have met so far is hugely welcoming and there is a nice atmosphere in the office (especially with the other grads!).
How would you rate Frazer-Nash Consultancy initiatives when it comes to equality, diversity, inclusion and accessibility?
4/5
We just celebrated World Mental Health Day, and had cake and some stalls on the KBR Campus (where the Leatherhead FNC office is). FNC could do more inclusion and diversity initatives, and are working to do so.
How would you rate Frazer-Nash Consultancy CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) initiatives?
5/5
I am part of the STEM Outreach Hub, and FNC allow me to take time from my 'in-office' work to attend these events if I wish to do so.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Frazer-Nash Consultancy to a friend?
Yes
Why?
I am excited by the work I do, and I think the graduate scheme will set me up well for my future career. We get team socials and Christmas parties, and it's nice to join as a large graduate cohort.
How well did the role match your expectations based on the recruitment process?
5/5
