Overall, how would you describe your experience at CBRE Group?
Excellent graduate scheme and very supportive company with a great work culture. They paid for my Masters degree in Real Estate with UCEM and supported me through this while I worked. I have had multiple rotations across the graduate scheme and built a wide range of skills, industry knowledge and professional relationships.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
Supporting teams in client facing roles across the South West/South Wales within property management (managing portfolios and inspecting a wide range of industrial, retail and office units), lease advisory (valuing and negotiating for rent reviews and lease renewals, report writing and negotiation strategy), valuation (supporting qualified valuers in valuing properties of all kinds for banks or financial purposes which involves report writing, inspection, measurement, market research and calculations), agency (letting and selling properties which requires marketing properties, launching through online platforms, property inspection/measurement, viewings and negotiations with potential parties). All teams have their advantages and disadvantages so what you like is very much dependent on your personality and what you enjoy (can be more numbers or people focused, report writing and client facing roles are across the board).
