Overview of the Role

Overall, how would you describe your experience at Frazer-Nash Consultancy?
Brilliant. I have been involved in many different cyber related projects. I have travelled around the country to visit clients. I have worked on personal development by doing external (all paid for) cyber courses. I have a good working relationship with my line manager, team and colleagues. I have had many opportunities outside of cyber too, like interviewing, presenting and filming for adverts.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
Main elements are working on client-based cyber projects in different sectors, like Defence, Energy and Secure Government.
I enjoy how personalised my journey has been; I can work in whatever office I want. I have no restrictions on working at home/office/hybrid. There is no micro-management - just a deep trust between my line manager and I. It's great here!
To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?
5/5
I have been involved in various cyber projects in various sectors. I have presented this work to my team, clients, graduates and more.
How does your compensation package - including perks & benefits - fairly remunerate you for the work you do?
5/5
I am very active, playing football, basketball and gymming regularly. The private healthcare has given me access to physios, chiropractors, MRIs and more. This is much better, quicker and cheaper than an NHS treatment.
How well do you feel the role is preparing you for your future career?
5/5
As stated before, I do various work in different facets of cyber. Thus, I have built on my foundational knowledge with real-world projects. Moreover, I can shape my career in the way I want by doing various external cyber qualifications, which are all paid for by the company.
How would you rate the extent to which you were developing new or existing skills through formal training and your day-to-day role?
5/5
See above.

Experience & Company Culture

How is the support you receive?
5/5
Great, from internal courses to weekly meeting with my line manager. There is always someone to help. Moreover, colleagues have often gone above and beyond to help me out when needed.
How is your work-life balance?
5/5
Best thing about the job. The hours are flexible. There is no micromanagement. I can go to the gym in the day and therefore play football, basketball or pool after work (or even all 3!). The holidays are great (with option to buy more). I have never needed to work silly hours (despite it being a consultancy). My daily routine and flexibility with work has also allowed me to incorporate my daily prayers into my routine. This has enabled me to be more in touch with my religion.
What is the organisational culture, values and general atmosphere like?
5/5
Great. People are supportive, helpful, innovative and much more.
How would you rate Frazer-Nash Consultancy initiatives when it comes to equality, diversity, inclusion and accessibility?
5/5
Despite the uncertainty with the DEI situation in KBR and America, I have personally felt very safe and secure as a Sikh that wears a turban to work. I felt like the company has handled the situation very well. I feel like all the offices foster complete inclusivity.
How would you rate Frazer-Nash Consultancy CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) initiatives?
4/5
DOnt really know what that means.

Why?
Great work-life balance, very personalised journey, plenty of work opportunities in different sectors, no micro-management. Honestly my friends are jealous of me because how good my graduate job is compared to theirs.
How well did the role match your expectations based on the recruitment process?
5/5
Exceeded them. I knew work-life was different before starting it. But having done it for a year and a half, I can honestly say that I the 9-5 life and FNC.
When considering the recruitment & onboarding process, have you any specific tips or advice you would give to others applying to Frazer-Nash Consultancy?
Be yourself. They look at grades but mostly at how you are as a person and how you work with others. When working in a consultancy, you have to come across human and approachable.
