In my case, participating in the Savills Summer Scheme prior to applying for a grad role was extremely helpful, also my entrepreneurial experience running a few small businesses prior to joining was also well-regarded by assessors during the interview process. Overall, showing both relevant experience and initiative can make a strong impression.
