I am involved in the year end financial statements preparation for medium to large businesses in the leeds/manchester area.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I have enjoyed my programme very much, I have learnt so much, especially when I think back to the limited accounting knowledge I had when I started the programme. I have had such great people around me and have become really close with the team I work on. I enjoy coming to work and being challenged completing the work I do.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt so many new skills. The main skill being organisation. In my role being organised is paramount and this is a skill that has developed massively. I look after a large portfolio of clients and being organised has allowed me to consistently delivers high quality products before deadlines.

The programme was extremely organised and I knew what was expected of me at each stage of the programme. In terms of professional skill development and also exam completion.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

There is a wide network of support available throughout the whole programme, including mailing lists and los colleagues within the firm who were always available to answer any questions I had.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

The training provider was excellent for both my professional skill development but also for my exam knowledge. All tutors were extremely insightful and made the learning process, which had the potential to be extremely difficult, a much more seamless process.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

My knowledge of key topic areas that I experience within my role became a lot more easier to understand as I was able to put my theoretical knowledge into practice, brining my in class learning into real life scenarios.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

The office I joined within my firm was an extremely social office. There was always multiple after work socials to attend within a month and there was plenty of opportunity to get involved in sports activities and also networking events such as the leeds young professional events.
