Overview of the Role

Overall, how would you describe your experience at Forvis Mazars?
I joined Forvis Mazars in September this year, and so far my experience has been exciting and refreshing. Before the official start of the programme, the company organised various online and in-person induction events, which helped me meet new people and better understand the company culture. Everyone I’ve met has been incredibly friendly and willing to share their experiences. I’m currently studying for the ACA qualification through a structured internal programme, and everything is well-organised. I feel fulfilled as I’m learning new things and making progress every day.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
I haven’t officially joined a client project team yet, but the main responsibility of my role will be to support audit work for clients in the banking sector. Although I’m not yet familiar with the specific types of financial information I’ll be reviewing, I understand that this is a highly important role. Banks are key institutions in a country’s financial system, and having accurate and reliable financial reports is essential. I’m looking forward to contributing to this meaningful work.

The office facilities are modern and well-equipped, with various multifunctional screens available for use, which makes it easy to find a comfortable and productive working environment. We also enjoy discounted access to a gym, which has encouraged me to stay active and maintain a healthier lifestyle. Although we don’t need to go into the office too frequently, our team stays well-connected through regular communication via email and Microsoft Teams. However, since the renting fee in London is quite high, the salary after tax and pension will not be very enough for other entertainment.

There are many sports clubs in London office where I meet many colleagues from other services lines and have fun together.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Forvis Mazars to a friend?
Yes
Why?
The people here are genuinely friendly and collaborative. Whenever I have questions, I can easily reach out to team members or other colleagues and always receive helpful support. The working environment is relaxed and inclusive, without rigid hierarchies, which makes it easy to communicate and feel comfortable. There’s a clear boundary between work and personal life, so I never feel overwhelmed. I’m also excited to be learning something new every day, which keeps me motivated and engaged.
How well did the role match your expectations based on the recruitment process?
4/5
Overall, the role has matched my expectations quite well. I knew I would be working with clients in the banking sector, which aligns with what was communicated during the recruitment process. However, I do hope that in the future I’ll have the opportunity to use my unique language skills to support international banking clients as well. That would allow me to contribute even more meaningfully to the team.
When considering the recruitment & onboarding process, have you any specific tips or advice you would give to others applying to Forvis Mazars?
Just be yourself and show the respect to others.
