Overall, how would you describe your experience at Forvis Mazars?
Its been a good experience, been studying towards an ACA with the job which has been tough but grateful for the learning.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
Preparing statutory accounts for companies
Compliance and onboarding
Planning and completion, budgeting etc
Managing a portfolio of clients and working with multiple teams cross functionally
building client relationships
training newer members
Studying towards an ACA
Would say my most enjoyable element is when a job is completed successfully and clients are satisfied

To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?

Contribution is measured via the size of the portfolio you work on, so in that sense can measure directly the impact. I feel my team does make me feel valued as they let me know when they need my help and how to manage it etc.
How does your compensation package - including perks & benefits - fairly remunerate you for the work you do?

Certainly can be improved given this is a London based role and the compensation is a bit lower than the London average, even compared to other grads who joined with me in different teams, the difference is significant in that sense.
How well do you feel the role is preparing you for your future career?

The ACA qualification and client work is certainly a transferrable skillset and managing clients and portfolios is also a good foundational structure to develop key skills in.
How would you rate the extent to which you were developing new or existing skills through formal training and your day-to-day role?

Certainly been a learning experience, learning something new each day. Learnt how to use new softwares and excel etc which are key technical skills and am continuing to do so. Have also learnt key soft skills working in a professional environment.

I would say the support from buddies and team members has been excellent. Support from other members is satisfactory.
How is your work-life balance?

as an ACA trainee, when its exam season, the balance is tilted more towards work because studying begins after work finishes so personal time is minimised. Otherwise, when its not exam time, its fairly well.
What is the organisational culture, values and general atmosphere like?

Great environment and culture, flexible working is certainly appreciated and everyone is welcoming and warm.
