Overall, how would you describe your experience at Forvis Mazars?
From my experience as first year as a Corporate Assistant in Audit FS Banking, I am grateful for the opportunities and support provided by the Forvis Mazars. From my first year working for the firm, I have been impressed by the company’s commitment to my professional development both through on the job learning and also with my ACA studies, collaboration through our daily role and also through social activities, and a positive work environment.
The firm’s culture of learning and growth has been beneficial in helping me balance my responsibilities at work while pursuing my ACA qualification. I have benefited from the resource's provided, supportive colleagues, and management who genuinely care about my progress and also well being.
Working here has allowed me to develop and gain valuable skills and gain insight into the financial services sector.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
As a Corporate Assistant in Audit FS Banking, my main responsibilities include:
1. Supporting my audit engagement teams with administrative tasks.
2. Assisting in the documentation and testing of standard risk areas.
3. Managing client communications and scheduling and attending meetings.
4. Collaborating with team members to assist when I have spare capacity.
What I enjoy most about my role is the variety and the opportunity to work closely with both my team and clients. I enjoy the fast paced environment and the chance to learn about the financial services sector . The firm’s supportive culture and commitment to development have made it especially enjoyable as I feel encouraged to take initiative by availing of opportunities and continuously improve my skills.
