Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Every day varies as a Digital Marketer, our team own the processes of Website + SEO, Email, Social Media and Corporate Photography. As a Digital Marketing Apprentice, my role is to support the team with tasks and research. With a growth in skillset and confidence, I now own my own tasks such as running our TikTok account and facilitating corporate headshot sessions and I also lead key social media campaigns.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

So far, I have thoroughly enjoyed my Apprenticeship at Forvis Mazars. Digital Marketing has grown from an interest to a passion for me, I enjoy the variation, communication, collaboration and creativity that it entails. I love that at Forvis Mazars I am not only able to use the skills that I have learnt during my apprenticeship, I am pushed to excel by my team. I am excited to see where my journey as a Digital Marketer at Forvis Mazars evolves to!
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

My skillset has amplified exponentially since joining Forvis Mazars. Not only have I gained imperative Digital Marketing skills through my job, but I have also been given incredible opportunities and been pushed to apply the skills I have learnt during my apprenticeship training practically within my job. However, the key skills that stand out to me most are not the career/role specific, but are corporate and life skills such as collaboration, teamwork, adapting communication, time management, workload management and so much more. The skills I have gained at Forvis Mazars so far have created the foundation for a successful career!
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

I feel that my program is very well structured. My manager is great at structuring my tasks around the skills I am learning on my apprenticeship training, ensuring that I gain practical experience.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

he support that has been available throughout my apprenticeship has been impeccable! Through the support of both my team and the early careers development team I have felt that I have the best environment to facilitate my apprenticeship training alongside my career development. One thing that stands out for me at Forvis Mazars, is that I never feel as though my questions are silly questions - which I have felt very beneficial for my personal development and confidence!
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

My trainer is always available. I have monthly 1-1 sessions with him and I always feel that I can contact him with any questions or for further support. They also offer additional opportunities such as a recent AI panel event that I attended.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I feel that my training gives me the understanding of why I do certain things in my role, such as why we have key privacy policies or why we plan before a campaign or why campaign evaluation is so important. My training gives me the key foundational skills that are imperative within my role at Forvis Mazars.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There are lots of national, regional and office-based activities at Forvis Mazars. I love the variation of events as it is often seen that many corporate activities are only sports-based; however, the variation of activities at Forvis Mazars ensures inclusivity! Two key events that I have recently attended is a painting class held in my local office - it was a great wellbeing and social interaction-focused event! And our 'fast for a day' challenge, where we were able to learn about the religious connotations of fasting and break our fast with colleagues with a delicious traditional meal.
