Overview of the Experience

Please give an overview of what your experience involved:
5/5
I was a mentee on the development programme where the bank provided fortnightly sessions with my mentor, and monthly sessions with the cohort. We also did team work exercises and projects - such as the stock pitch presentation. I developed greatly in my understanding of Global Banking and Markets, I would really recommend it!

5/5
No problems with logistics or admin, everything ran smoothly.
To what extent did you enjoy your experience?

How much did your experience help you in deciding on your future career path?
5/5
Greatly, gave me exposure to many areas of banking and markets - ultimately led me to decide my final career path especially through my mentor meetings.
Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?
I was not paid and had no expenses

Skills Development

What training and skills development did you learn from your experience?
5/5
My commercial knowledge deepened in financial markets especially, but also technically through the stock pitch presentation. I also gained more confidence in my networking through having fortnightly calls and through the Spring Week.

Company Culture

How much did you learn about the company culture and what it would be like to work there?
5/5
I learned a lot, especially through the panel discussions at the Spring Week. Also, in shadowing professionals they gave great insights into the culture through their personal experiences.
Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees?
5/5
Many, especially as the bank is global, there were many opportunities to network with professionals from across the globe such as Canada, Ireland and even professionals who moved to London and I got the chance to meet during the Spring Week. There were also networking sessions during the Spring, and my mentee introduced me to other professionals during our calls.
