Overview of the Role

Overall, how would you describe your experience at Computacenter?
Very positive. Great career prospect, welcoming company, fully invested in our professional growth
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
Rotations around the business - understanding our different go-to-markets and presenting them back to the specialists.
I enjoyed the rotations the most as you meet lots of different people across the business - very sociable.
Team Time involved shadowing account managers (the role I'd be moving to) and helping them with various tasks.
To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?
2/5
I had the opportunity to help my team on small tasks but the main part of this role was to learn and absorb information, so not given much responsibility by my team members.
However, once I finished the programme, I have had a good opportunity to contribute.
How does your compensation package - including perks & benefits - fairly remunerate you for the work you do?
4/5
Good, generous packages
How well do you feel the role is preparing you for your future career?
5/5
have learnt a lot about the IT world, what we sell, how we sell it, and seen in action the role that I'd be doing
How would you rate the extent to which you were developing new or existing skills through formal training and your day-to-day role?
4/5
Presentation skills improving, IT knowledge/understanding improved

Experience & Company Culture

How is the support you receive?
5/5
Very helpful team around me
How is your work-life balance?
5/5
Hours aren't too long. Lots of work events that take over evenings but I enjoy these and most are not mandatory
What is the organisational culture, values and general atmosphere like?
5/5
Competitive but friendly, welcoming and helpful
How would you rate Computacenter initiatives when it comes to equality, diversity, inclusion and accessibility?
3/5
Building in Blackfriars is not very accessible at all (I was in crutches for two months).
Fairly diverse workforce gender-wise (more and more women), but very bad maternity leave structure.
Initiatives re Pride and Black History Month etc, but not a particularly racially diverse workforce (but perhaps the nature of the role is less appealing to people of some backgrounds?)
How would you rate Computacenter CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) initiatives?
5/5
Lots of sustainability stuff, focus on early careers, volunteering days, charity walks etc.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Computacenter to a friend?
Yes
Why?
Very friendly company, lucrative role, lots of investment in career growth
How well did the role match your expectations based on the recruitment process?
5/5
When considering the recruitment & onboarding process, have you any specific tips or advice you would give to others applying to Computacenter?
