Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

Within the data science and innovation team I have learnt how to use python. I then applied this knowledge to perform an exploratory data analysis on a data set in order to improve a model from its basic starter script. There is also further opportunities to get involved with projects outside of the placement with fellow interns, such as fundraising.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

I was given my own project to work on but could ask for help when needed.

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?

Lots of support and guidance was given but have to not be afraid to ask for help too when needed. There is also a wide range of tools and resources on the intranet which were really useful.

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

Company culture was great, everyone was friendly and welcoming. There is also a focus on learning and development which is refreshing to see. There were socials planned too for interns.
