Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
First 2 weeks involved training - learning C#, typescript and other skills. Last 7 weeks involved working on a project with another intern in a tech team - programming, debugging, writing tests, reviewing others' code. Also shadowed and received talks from different experienced developers a couple of times a week.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes - each pair of interns was completely responsible for their own project. We were responsible for completing our own tasks/project with guidance from our manager. Our code was reviewed by others. The projects assigned to interns were actual requirements for the company - the intent was for our projects to go to production at some point while or after we worked there.

Learned about C# and typescript during training.
Learned to work in a team, use git, make and review pull requests.

Support and Guidance
How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
Lots of support provided throughout the internship with regular one-to-one meetings to discuss how things are going.
Also very regular feedback was provided by my manager.
Also a couple of review meetings to received formal feedback during the project period.
Other employees were always open to chatting, giving feedback and advice.

Nice work life balance. No unreasonable expectations to work long hours.All employees were friendly and open to meeting to chat.
