Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

Effectively treated as a junior associate after training, were brought in and assigned work which gradually built in difficulty but was meaningful from the start. Dealt largely with evidence gathering activities and filing however the work varied depending on where in the audit cycle your team was and the nature of the client you were assigned to.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

Yes I was given a lot of responsibility being allowed to prepare client communications multiple times and aiding in final check offs to send to the engagement leader.

Support and Guidance

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?

There was immense support and guidance, firstly with buddy system and career coach we were all assigned but also in the form of firm resources being easy to utilise. The culture at the firm was also one that encouraged learning and people were helpful whether they knew you or not.

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

Friendly, relaxed but still driven, one that supported learning. Also lots of fun social events and initiatives as well as societies for certain faiths , ethnic back grounds and hobbyists.
